The Photo Lab is a free, browser-based tool for arranging photos into print-ready collage sheets. It supports passport, visa, photo-print, and postcard formats — and the photos you upload never leave your device.
Why this tool exists
Most passport-photo websites charge several dollars for the same template, ask you to upload your face to a server, and produce a PDF you could have made yourself in five minutes if the right tool existed. We thought the right tool should exist.
The Photo Lab is what that looks like: a single web page that does the layout math, gives you per-image cropping, lets you pick paper size and orientation, and exports a PDF at exact millimetre dimensions ready for printing at 100% scale.
How it works
- Choose your paper and photo size. Pick A4 or US Letter, then select dimensions (for example, 35 × 45 mm for most international passports).
- Upload your photos. Click "Add photos" and select one or more images. Each starts with a quantity of one.
- Adjust quantity and crop. Use the quantity controls to set how many copies you need. Click any thumbnail to drag-and-zoom the photo into position.
- Download and print. Click "Download print-ready PDF." Print at 100% scale ("Actual size") — never "Fit to page."
What's supported
- Passport & ID: international 35 × 45 mm, US 2 × 2 in (51 × 51 mm), Indian 35 × 35 mm, visa 33 × 48 mm

- Square: 3.5 × 3.5 in, 4 × 4 in
- Custom dimensions in millimetres
- Cutting guides: solid hairline, dashed, crop marks, or none
- Orientation: portrait or landscape (with auto-suggestion when one fits more)
The privacy posture
The Photo Lab is one HTML file plus a few JavaScript libraries delivered from a CDN. There is no account system, no analytics on photo content, no upload endpoint. When you close the tab, your photos are gone from the page memory.
Who built it
The Photo Lab is built by AppWeave Labs, a small software studio focused on practical browser-based tools. If you'd like to suggest a feature, report a bug, or just say hi, the AppWeave Labs site has contact details.
A note on accuracy
The photo dimensions in this tool reflect the widely-published international standards (ICAO 9303 for 35 × 45 mm, US Department of State for the 2 × 2 in format, and so on). If you're producing photos for an official application, always verify the current spec with the issuing authority before relying on any printed photo — head height, background colour, glasses policy, and other requirements vary by country and change over time.
