1. What you're agreeing to
By using The Photo Lab (this website and the tool it provides), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the tool — and there's no penalty for that, you can just leave.
2. What the tool does, and what it doesn't
The Photo Lab generates a print-ready PDF collage of photos you upload, arranged on a paper size you choose, at dimensions you specify. It runs entirely in your browser. We do not:
- Store your photos on any server
- Print or mail physical photos to you
- Validate that your photos meet any specific country's official passport requirements
- Guarantee that the printed output will be accepted by any government agency, embassy, or passport office
3. Your responsibility for printed output
You are responsible for verifying that the photos you produce meet whatever requirements apply to your intended use. Passport, visa, and ID photo specifications vary by country and change over time. Requirements may include head height, background colour, expression, glasses, head covering, photo age, paper finish, and more — none of which this tool enforces.
Before submitting any photo produced with The Photo Lab for an official application, check the current specification published by the issuing authority (typically the government department responsible for passports, visas, or IDs in the relevant country). If in doubt, use a professional passport photographer for important applications.
4. Print quality and dimensions
The tool exports a PDF at the millimetre dimensions you select. For the output to be physically accurate, you must print at 100% scale ("Actual size") — not "Fit to page." If your printer rescales the document, the resulting photos will be the wrong size. We can't control your printer settings and accept no responsibility for incorrectly-scaled prints.
5. Provided "as is"
The Photo Lab is provided as is, without any warranty, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We make no promise that the tool will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any specific time.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall AppWeave Labs or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising out of your use of (or inability to use) The Photo Lab.
In simpler terms: this is a free tool we made available. If using it causes you any harm — a rejected passport application, a wasted sheet of photo paper, anything else — that's not something we can be held responsible for. Verify before you rely on the output.
7. Your photos remain yours
The photos you upload to use with the tool are and remain your property. We don't claim any rights to them. (We also don't have copies of them — see the Privacy Policy — so there's nothing we could claim a right to even if we wanted to.)
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use The Photo Lab to produce documents intended to commit fraud, forge identity documents, or violate any applicable law. This is a tool for legitimate personal and professional use; misusing it to harm others or to deceive authorities is your problem, not ours, and we will cooperate with law enforcement on documented investigations.
9. Third-party services
The tool loads resources from Google Fonts and the Cloudflare CDN to function. If you have analytics enabled (see the Privacy Policy), it also loads Google Analytics. These third parties have their own terms of service and privacy policies, which govern your relationship with them.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time — for example, to reflect new features, legal requirements, or clarifications. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the tool after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
Any dispute arising from your use of The Photo Lab is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which AppWeave Labs is registered, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Where applicable consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction grants you stronger rights, those rights are not waived by this clause.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms can be directed to AppWeave Labs.
